Yard, Lawn, Trees & Shrubs

Yard and Lawn
Close mow & weed whack: An optimal height for a cool-season grass generally is about 2 1/2 inches. At each mowing, you should only be removing the top 1/3 of the grass blade. A good time to mow lawns is when your grass is about 3 2/3″ high.

Tree and Shrub
Pruning + trimming: Reasons to prune include deadwood removal, shaping (by controlling or redirecting growth), improving or sustaining health, reducing risk from falling branches, preparing nursery specimens for transplanting, and both harvesting and increasing the yield or quality of flowers and fruits.

Lawncare - Dethatch, Aeration

Power rake (dethatch): “Dethatching” refers to removing dead turfgrass tissue known as “thatch”. This residue is bad for your grass, as it keeps water and nutrients from seeping down to grassroots.

Core Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps roots grow and produce a stronger, vigorous lawn. The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction.

Mulch, Edging, Bed Maintenance

Mulch install: Mulch is any material that is spread or laid over the surface of the soil as a covering. It is used to retain moisture in the soil, suppress weeds, keep the soil cool, and make the garden bed look more attractive.

Edging creates clean, crisp lines between beds and other areas. It is most visible between a lawn and the adjoining garden, but landscape edging can define a flower border, a shrub bed, a single tree, or the transition from a patio to the surrounding garden.

Bed maintenance: with beds that are properly maintained your shrubs will enjoy a healthier, weed-reduced environment. Protect your investment with regular maintenance to control weeds, maintain plant health, and keep your mulch looking great.

Fertilization, Weed & Vegetation Control

Granular Fertilization – Granular fertilizers deliver food to a plant slowly but have the advantage of longevity. This method, which covers large areas well, is used to apply granular fertilizers to lawns or to new beds before they are planted.

Weed Control – Weeds may cause a number of issues and may restrict the growth of plants. If left unchecked may compete with other plants for nutrients, space, water and soil, thereby restricting their growth.

Total Vegetation Control – Kills almost all vegetation down to the roots and prevent plant regrowth for up to a year. For use on: Driveways, sidewalks, brick walks, paths, patios, parking areas, play areas, along fences and curbs, around buildings and under graveled pathways.

Window, Exterior & Site Cleaning

Window Cleaning
Windows should be cleaned two to three times per year to maintain a clean and professional appearance, since weathering will gradually cause grime to build up. Clean windows make both the interior and exterior of your home or business more appealing.

Exteriors Cleaning
Gutters – Clean your gutters regularly to avoid overflow and damage. Debris-ridden gutters can tear away from your house, overflow, or cause damage to your foundation and sidewalks. Our experts explain the details you need to know about gutter cleaning.

Site Clean-ups
Site clean-up services include but aren’t limited to parking lots, parks, medians, and private properties.
